Didier Fassin appointed Chair of Moral Questions and Political Issues in Contemporary Society at Collège de France

NOMIS Awardee Didier Fassin has been appointed Chair of Moral Questions and Political Issues in Contemporary Society (Questions morales et enjeux politiques dans les sociétés contemporaines) at Collège de France. The appointment begins Oct. 1, 2022. In addition to this new role, Fassin will maintain his professorship at the Institute for Advanced Study on a reduced basis.

On Mar. 30, 2023, Fassin will give his inaugural lecture at Collège de France titled, “Social Sciences in a Time of Crisis,” at the Amphithéâtre Marguerite de Navarre, Site Marcelin Berthelot; the first series of 12 public lectures, “The Trials of the Border,” will be held in the same location on April 5, 2023.
