Nomis Fellows

NOMIS fellowships support emerging, early-career researchers who, like other NOMIS researchers, demonstrate the potential to lead groundbreaking, high-risk basic research. With interdisciplinary collaboration at the heart of their innovative ideas and approaches, these researchers build bridges across the boundaries of disciplines.

NOMIS Fellows are dedicated researchers who use novel approaches, apply new expertise and engage fresh perspectives. They are curious and eager to undertake new high-risk research by connecting the ordinary with the unexpected. Beyond their scientific excellence these researchers show intrinsic motivation and the ability to inspire and collaborate with others not only within but also outside their own fields of expertise.

Once appointed, NOMIS Fellows become an integral part of and have direct access to an international network of leading interdisciplinary researchers and institutions through the NOMIS collaborative research network. New NOMIS Fellows are announced on an ongoing basis.

We are currently supporting the following fellowship programs:
NOMIS Foundation–ETH Fellowship Program
NOMIS Postdoctoral Fellowship Program at eikones – Center for the Theory and History of Images
NOMIS Fellowship Program at ISTA
NOMIS Center Postdoctoral Fellowship Program at Salk
