Célia Lacaux is a 2022 NOMIS & Science Young Explorer Award finalist. She is a postdoc at the Geneva University Neurocenter, Switzerland.

Lacaux received her undergraduate degree from Aix-Marseille University (France) and Imperial College London (UK) and her master’s degrees from Ecole Normale Supérieure and University College London. She then completed a PhD in 2021 at the Paris Brain Institute under the supervision of D. Oudiette and I. Arnulf. She is now moving to the laboratory of S. Schwartz in Switzerland for a postdoctoral position. Her research primarily focuses on the relationship between sleep and creativity. Her NOMIS & Science essay is “A doorway into possibility.”
