Can collaboration across disciplines unlock answers to the challenges of our time? The NOMIS Foundation and the Collegium Helveticum believe it can. Together, they have initiated a partnership to support international research collaborations and further strengthen Zurich’s position as a leading science hub through a new fellowship program.
The NOMIS Foundation and the Collegium Helveticum share the commitment to advancing innovative and interdisciplinary basic research. Through this collaboration, they aim to foster collaborations across national and disciplinary boundaries to respond to the challenges of our time and enhance Zurich’s appeal for outstanding researchers.
As the joint Institute for Advanced Study of ETH Zurich, the University of Zurich, and the Zurich University of the Arts, the Collegium offers an inspiring space for interdisciplinary exchange where scholars can explore new perspectives on their research.
Beginning in September 2026, the Collegium will host leading international researchers as NOMIS Senior Fellows, offering them the opportunity to conduct research in Zurich for several months and to engage with the stimulating academic environment of the city’s three universities. The NOMIS Senior Fellowship Program is one of several initiatives of this new partnership.
